I have been thinking of you in this heat. I couldn't believe how hot it was down in Mississippi and Louisiana. But Texas, well I just don't think I could do it. Nice group of photos!
Looks like a fun time on the water :) Great pictures........you can keep the heat though!!! :) Here in Sicily the heat and humidity haven't come on full force yet.
You lake adventure looks like a great time! It's been really hot in Houston too, but last night we finally got a little rain and maybe more today....wooohooo. It's kinda funny at the things I get excited about lately. :)
Cheryl.. when I saw your title, I thought you might be going back to California for a week or two... ;) With the drought in S.TX... not sure how long the lakes will last! pray for rain!
Yes, it's been hot as hades here in Arkansas too! The lake looks really inviting! I was reading your last post on the lightening strike and wondered if you have looked into getting lightening rod. It might be worth looking into. V.

Welcome to Texas!
Music
My blog plays piano music for your listening pleasure. When I view the beautiful surroundings of this earth, this is the music that plays in my head. Corny, but true! Jim Brickman's piano playing is a favorite of mine. John Tesh has a beautifully orchestrated piece that I have added .... and my, much loved, "Somewhere over the Rainbow" is listed twice by two very lovely angelic voices! I hope you enjoy them all !!

About Me
cottage farm villa
I guess I could start by telling you that I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan. Trees, snow, the Great Lakes and "love in the air" in Springtime! At 19 life took me to sunny Southern California. Endless sunshine, beaches, palm trees, the Pacific ocean, Malibu, Santa Barbara, 80 degree weather, snow covered mountains, outdoor cafes, Hollywood, million dollar yachts...everything in the movies! I spent the next 30 wonderful, sun filled, years there. I love California! Life then picked me up and took me to Texas. The Lone Star State, home of the Cowboys, open land, big sky, longhorns, Angus Beef, REAL gentlemen, hot & humid summer nights, October hay rides, my 3rd state, my third stage of life! Texas is home now and I am happy to be here. We built a dream house on 2 acres. I adore vintage things, flowers, sunshine, and any body of water near me. I can obsess over pretty paper & notecards as well as collecting hundreds of paint strips in search of just the right color (it must have began with coloring books and a box of 64 crayola crayons). ~Cheryl~
you can email me at cottagefarmvilla@att.net, unfortunately, due to scammers/viruses (oh yes, they are out there ~ darn it), i can only open emails who's blogs or names I recognize through comments left. thank you!
